The standing desk has given a completely different dimension to the day. Not only is it a nice break from sitting but it also means I can people watch out of the window. Being on the fourth US floor/third UK floor facing a large building I can’t see the street when sitting down. It’s like choosing a different seat in the office (sort of).

Woke up today to the sound of a jack hammer outside the window. There was a time about a year ago where there was constant construction outside our apartment and waking us up early. However much we hated that, being woken early by that noise today felt like a little bit of normality.

Took a walk around the block after a couple of days inside, it’s so nice to feel the sun. Luckily the roads are pretty quiet so it’s possible to social distance by walking in the road but still at times feels like too many people are out.

Neither Danielle nor I had the best night sleep as a couple of mosquitoes decided to join us. Mid-March feels early for them and I read it can be attributed to global warming, which reminds me how I have been thinking this coronavirus is at least helpful for the planet if not the people.
